cool part of this story is the fire victims had no connection to the towing industry. the two local companies hard the story and decided they wanted to do something. they are both located in ball. both gathered here tonight in the rain about an hour ahead of the care pra van a will go from holly -- caravan that will go from holly high school. early in the morning nancy and her four young grandchildren died. the family didn't have insurance to pay for the funeral. if you don't mind, tell us what tonight is all about. >> we're going to caravan to the family's house. this event was put together by fathers, by men prove they were impacted and want to make a statement that they are doing something to help. >> reporter: i think it's cool. you're going to be lifting up spirits. >> yes. these tow truck drivers are vested in their community and they want to do something to support. >> reporter: you're going to tough it out in the rain. thank you so much for joining us. throughout the next our tow trucks will be arriving at paulie high school and then heading to the home in east baltimore. we

weather locally, a couple showers north of us, northern pennsylvania. that was it. quiet pattern. one thing we noticed, of course, a bigger warm air surge that helped get us up into the low 80s across much of central maryland. a very unseasonably warm pattern. low to mid-70s as the warmest air retreats. i think we'll be more in the 70-degree range as opposed to the 80s. also, weather for neuromaining clear and sunny, tonight crystal clear conditions. we look to remain clear as we go into the middle part of the day following that. then a lot of showers by friday night. that line is the leading edge of cooler hair that will march in and interact with this coastal storm and make for an interesting couple days into the early part of next week. right now all quiet. take a look to the north and west. this is component one. cold air building. you can actually make out that trough of cold air, this leading edge. this is in the montana region, in the northern plain states looking toward the dakotas, snow coming down in south dakota. the other factor, the bigger factor wil be the moisture, the

here locally, the sun was actually out at the beach as we make our final preparations on the maryland coast and across the state so far the weather is quiet. here are the the latest statistics. a category one hurricane, north at 6 miles per hour, and the position is 770 miles south of ocean city maryland. its track that's of primary concern, in to sunday night, the timing shifted on the storm. now we are talking late sunday, primarily in to the day monday and tuesday, that turn from out at sea that turn inward towards delmarva. of course the other wild card, where the storm comes in, but also, exactly what type of phasing we get with the cold air to the west. the cold front coming in, jet stream energy ramping the storm up to really historic levels as it moves in to maryland towards monday and tuesday. the cold air will be blasting in. as we take a look at the set up, the trend shows, sandy coming up the coast, jet stream diving in, and the storm strengthening towards sunday nite. there are wild cards, questions with the storm for more on that one. head to mike masco. interesting day,
